We started Spring Break with some friends at the park.
We had a sleepover at Grandma's. Chillin' in the morning.
This is the beginning part of the storm. We decided that since Grandma has an in at a school we would go play there. Bubba is scrapping the car.
Dave and nephew
The offering to save us all from the dinosaur attack...Good thing she is too sweet to eat.
Friday April 24, Buck was hit in the eye with a paper airplane at school. Dad looked at it and could see a small cut on the eyeball. Buck kept rubbing it and complaining that it was burning. So off to the Dr's we go(visit #1)....they put some drops in his eye and used a black light to see what was up. His eye was glowing yellow for a couple minutes and sure enough there was a cut. So he became a pirate for 24 hours.
The eye is a marvelous thing and heals quickly as many of you know. So Saturday the 25th we have a follow up (visit#2) to see how the healing process has come. When we check in the receptionist says "So you were here yesterday. Have you moved or changed insurance in the last 24 hours? giggle giggle." Nope, we have not. More eye drops, black light and Dr playing to make everyones shirts and socks glow in the dark and it is declared that Buck's eye is healed. Yeah!!!
Sunday the 26th Buck and Superman are playing after church with a bungee cord. Buck let go of his end and it springs back and smacks Superman in the head. He starts to cry and Monkey screams he is bleeding all over. In the mere seconds it takes me to grab the nearest towel and get to him, he is covered in blood. The bungee cord has split his head open. We called to interupt Dad and Bubba's home teaching with "We need to take Superman in for stitches, please come home". So visit #3, the receptionist asks our name and my reply is " We are the Brittain's and no, we have not moved or changed insurance in the last 24 hours". She gave us a funny look and then we explained that this was our third trip in as many days to the Dr. So three stitches later Superman is put back together. The stitches were the white dissolving kind. They are hard to see in the pics. I only posted the after as not to gross anyone out with the before. We are very blessed that it did not hit one of his eyes and blind him.
